Holy shit yes. Opie is at his absolute most annoying when louie was in studio. He always gets into his "thats what WE do" sassy confident mood and ends up embarrassing himself (and the show) in front of louie. Hes like a child that had too much birthday cake and fruit punch and he just gets all hyped up and starts saying retarded things

I noticed we tend not to focus on the Opester often, so while we have one of our rare Opie threads I just wanted to put a thought out there.

What ultimately bothers me about Opie is he used to be the guy yelling in the background trying to be outrageous. I can deal with that because he's in the background and he's not drowning out actual conversation. A few years ago he started doing this thing where you could tell he puts his mouth directly against the microphone and screams.

He needs to be mixed lower on every show he does, because when the dusty gears in his head start turning and he thinks "gem incoming" it feels like he's screaming directly into my ear and I want to kill him.

This really speaks to Opie's contributions: I'm about 5 minutes in and literally can't tell. The conversation is flowing as if Opie wasn't in the room.
