Opie is jealous of how popular Jim is with "his" listeners and is trying to sabotage his show.
Why else would he mention that Sam didn't want Jim on the show after Ant got fired?
I seriously hope the lack of a second mic/comedy humbles that fucking cunt.

After this whole story he brought to the table combined with the past 2 years full of lies, contradictions, half truths, and going back on shit he said, today being highlighted by him tripping over his own feet in that Doug Benson lie within the same breath, I don't think I'd believe a single thing that ever comes out of Opie's mouth again unless he had paperwork and 3 witnesses to prove it. I wouldn't believe Opie if he said it was raining outside and I could hear the drops on the roof, I'd still go look out the window first

He's been "pumping things up" for the radio so long that he just flat out lies about everything now.
I don't know why Ant would even give him the time of day tbh.

Not really a theory. Opie's always been a jealous cunt. Just look at how salty he got whenever Ant and Jim started riffing off of each other.
