Mercurio has his own podcast, he's a comic. The audio quality is awful (sounds like he's just using the on board mic's on a Zoom H4) but he gets a lot of great comics on there. "Your favorite comic" has most assuredly been on at some point. He's a decent interviewer.
My only problem is he's such a fucking unabashed guilty white bleeding heart lefty liberal fag. If they start talking about race or politics, I have to jump ahead like I do when Bill Burr starts talking about sports.
My thoughts listening to this little reunion is that Opie is most tolerable when he does nothing but laugh (provide energy to a joke), or just kind of promotes jokes (like those directed towards Vos). Anything else was/is just shit. But there was better energy from these two ex lover homo shithole connoisseurs today than there was since the two of them have been apart.
He also said to Paul "A little awareness would be nice" and Ant said something that went unnoticed along the lines of "is Opie talking about himself?" But of course he wasn't talking about himself because ironically, someone with no self awareness cannot be aware of this fact.

He couldnt be more self-serving. Couldn't be more desperate or a more transparent face-saving ploy. "Look everyone! Everything's fine! Everyone's doing great! Look how likeable and relatable I am that I finally decided to call everyone's best pal Ant!" Fucking yuck. It's so cynical and gross.
Up until now, they've just been making jokes about Vos and Mecurio. Now Op asked Ant if he really thought Op didn't go to bat for him. So they're just talking about that.
When you hear them together again after two years, you realise that they really did have some kind of rapport. Opie makes a comment about Ant's racist tweets, Ant makes a joke, Opie laughs because he's a part of it.
Don't get me wrong, Opie is awful but, in a weird way, I get the impression that Anthony is the only person he's comfortable doing radio with.
It's so weird how this worked out. 2 years of shit talking completely gone over one phone call. Amazing. Also does this confirm maybe Jimmy is the fucking problem between them? Of all the times Opie and Jim were together, they didn't talk. ONE day without Jimmy and he wants to talk to Anthony. Amazing
100% this. He's terrified of having to do a show solo now that Jimmy fucked off with the wrestling kid. He even projected that when he said, "Now people are going say I'm desperate..."
I think this was brewing for a long time for them to reconcile. Especially now Ant can literally call in to Opie every day or whatever since they air at the same time.
I still like Anthony but I can't stomach Opie. Listening to them today you hear everything that makes Opie so hateable. The fake radio voice, burping into the mic, constantly saying "sure" and "yeah" and "right" every 5 seconds...there's no way I could listen to these 2 back together.
