That said, Opie definitely needs a solid co-host to really make a splash after all of this. More people are hyped for a show replacing Opie featuring a guy who was Opie's 3rd mic at their peak and his former producer who is obsessed with pro wrestling. Artie would obviously make waves but I don't see Sirius making it happen even if Artie was willing to do it. I don't see those two getting on long term anyway. Artie has his problems with Howard, but he isn't going to play Opie's game of shitting on Howard all the time.

Sherrod, Vic and Chris definitely aren't big enough names to take the co-host spot and have the show seem like a big deal. Opie needs Nick Dipaolo dammit.

Yeah I don't get the people on here sometimes. How can anyone believe a word out of any of these fuckers' mouths before seeing the actual proof of it? Opie has been on one of his most blatantly misleading/lying streaks lately. He's had an ulterior motive for everything he's said about re-signing/not re-signing and it's the easiest thing to see through. This is just him trying to get some people talking about him and his show. Like others said - Artie's on first day (or not at all) and that's it.

Have you heard him on interviews lately? That may not be a fair way to judge a man, but it's a stark difference from fresh out of rehab Artie. Last time I heard him he sounded like he was half asleep. I didn't want to think he was using again, but it sure sounded like it.

Anyone saying Artie is persona non grata at SiriusXM since stern is flat out wrong. SiriusXM carried the audio broadcast of the Nick and Artie Show/The Artie Lange Show until directv/Audience channel cancelled it (because he was very clearly on heroin).

I don't know why he would even want to, he has a subscription podcast and he's said he makes a ton of money from a pretty meager listenership (which you can do with all that bureaucratic infrastructure removed.) I don't even think he does a good show cause he's a heroin nodding cigarette butt and can't wrap his head around the concept of timing beyond the attitude of a crooked NY deli owner beating a teen with a baseball bat, but he seems to be doing okay in his zone.
