If you think Jocktober is painful to listen to, check out "Be Funny."
The premise of "be funny" is that the radio host allows callers to call in and "be funny", for one hour a week.
As you can imagine, it's the cringiest thing on radio, the aural equivalent of truck drivers doing open mic. It is unlistenable. If you think Opie sucks, nothing compares to the dreck on "be funny."
Making things worse is that the host has recorded a bunch of canned laughter to make it sound like a party. It's terrible, it makes "John and Jeff" sound like great radio.

Tom Leykis has always sucked. It doesn't surprise me he has stooped to that level of hack radio. I had pretty much forgotten he existed.
Back in the early days of the internet, I got into a drunken argument with Tom in an AOL chat room, and he threatened to have me banned from AOL. I probably deserved it. I listened to him last about thirteen years ago, in Los Angeles, and it was awful. He had something like O&A's WOW. Flash Friday, maybe? But I think the name of it was even more lame than that. Something like "show your boobies Thursday".
While I like being flashed as much as the next fella, I've never really found it that thrilling to hear people talk on the radio about someone showing them their boobs.

I enjoy screaming at my radio when he's on, it's like sixty minutes of hate. But "be funny" is a level of cringe that's unequaled in radio, it's SO BAD
