I think its more reasonable to believe Opie is not their leader. They're a group of Douchey-Bros that Opie tries to fit in with, always trying way to hard to be "One the guys". Which comes across extremely forced, given his love for reality housewife shows and gay beers. They tolerate him because he has money and he fucks one of their sisters though, both of which will no longer be true soon enough.
