SXM is still a big corporation, with lots of guys running numbers all day long. Opie's salary over the past 2 years may have been 5x Jimmy's, on a show with dwindling heat and listeners. Makes sense that the management would evaluate the show and its future with this in mind, and make changes accordingly.
