It's sad, and it didn't have to be that way, but breaking the patterns of behaviour that get baked into your brain as a child can be very difficult.

every successful person that I remotely like had fucked up parents and childhood, unfortunately it's not a solid plan for success of your children as in 99.99999% of cases it leads to making a murderer, rapists, drug addicts etc..
