Opie is absolutely going to scrape together whatever show he can and keep going as long as Sirius will extend contracts. Any FM talk is just delusional negotiation strategy.
But Opie has said how much he wants the afternoon drive for atleast 2 contracts, atleast since Ant was still around.
I don't wanna give my hopes up but I think Sam and Jim will gladly move into the morning slot and Opie will do a afternoon show atleast 2-4 days a week to save face, I think he will probably only get a one year contract to prove himself.

The only thing that will change will be that the show will be without Jim. They have zero working relationship and have moved on from each other.
Honestly, this scenario is probably the largest indictment against Opie. He couldn't keep a long-term cohost and friend on a well paying gig. It proves that Opie is the problem. Everything Jim/Anthony/former employees said about Opie is true.
