How many times has Opie bragged that he has waited it out during contract negotiations till the last min? Even though I don't think he has anymore leverage now he might be doing it to fuck with "the haters".
Unless Jim states tomorrow that it's definitely true I'll wait till October first.
Again, he says "that show." It doesn't mean his representatives aren't still in negotiation with SiriusXM over a new contract. The fact that he's doing shows this week ought to tell you this.
The safest bet is Opie is doing the afternoon drive time slot and Sam and Jim will do mornings. Like Anthony has said that Opie has been pulling for afternoon drive for years now, I think the channel will remain OpieRadio, Jim & Sam mornings, Bennington middays, and Opie will do afternoons.
I bet Opie won't even get a two year contract, I bet it's going to be a year so he can try to prove himself.
I hope for some reason Opie and Jim are fighting which might prevent some of the regulars like Colin, Bobby, and Vos from doing Opies boring afternoon show.
I wish someone would ask why he would allow his name is on yhe fucking channel and he does he still rep it on twitter...if he has no plans. He aint done. Hes just ready to roll out 'the view - radio edition' and leave behind all remnants of what made him rich. He thinks he is the smartest man in the room.
