I got into Warhammer with 40k, actually. Played Dawn of War 1, Dawn of War 2, and I'll be buying Dawn of War 3 once it drops.

I keep telling myself someday I'll get into the tabletop, I have some unpainted models hanging around my place... but the time investment of painting is quite significant.

Warhammer Fantasy is cool too, I like the Total War franchise / style of game so I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Unless you live in the UK or next to a major city with a Games Workshop, I wouldn't even bother with the tabletop.

I was just checking to make sure you're a true and loyal servant to the Immortal God Emperor of Mankind. Also the Horus Heresy books are great if you like the 40k Universe.
