Did you see those people jumping to their deaths? Fawkin BROOOtal. burp.

The stern broadcast that morning was very tense and interesting. Definitely worth a listen, its on youtube with the video news feed synced too.

I liked how after the second plane hit, Stuttering John asked if the WTC has a sprinkler system.

If I remember correctly, don't they think it's some shitty pilot or something like that and make jokes about it before the second one hit?

Yes something like that. Its easy to go wtf are you doing making jokes on 9/11, but no one realized the severity of it at the time.

I was 5 or 6 years old at the time so it was interesting to get some real perspective on it.

This is a really good listen about 9/11 and is probably the best single podcast I've heard...Ari interviews Cris Italia, the guy who co owns now The Stand comedy club in NYC but on 911 he was a paramedic and its crazy to hear his account of that day and how badly its effected him since. All the shit he saw that day that you don't hear anyone talk about, like how he saw a cop shoot himself in the head because he just couldn't take it and everyone who saw it happen just said he died in the towers to protect the guys legacy or how he'll die early & needs oxygen therapy now because of all the human DNA/dust he inhaled while working on the rescue effort

Not embarrassed to say I got choked up the first time i listened to it last year & you should def listen to it if you want to hear a unique first hand account of that day and how badly it fucked him up till today

when does it start? I'm 30 minutes in and nothing about 9/11

Very good podcast, and it will getchu.

That's what we all thought at first.

The Stern one is the only Stern show i've listened in full/length to. Theres something about the real time reaction to it that tv just can't do. It's the closest you can get to 'normal' reaction to the day as it happened. Opie and Ant was more "oh this happened it sucked" but theres something re listenable to the instant reactions. Really does take you back to that day.

I go back and re-listen to Stern's broadcast that day every once in a while to relive it. I was in 4th grade at the time and initially misunderstood what had happened... I thought some tourists took over the planes and crashed them because I had no idea what terrorism was.

That is what happened in a way. They just happened to be terrorist tourists.
