You retards actually genuinely make me laugh hard on this subreddit at times, so it shows that this show's sense of humour can be learned, it's a simple formula. We're not special, we're just a bunch of autists on the internet. But Opie can't even get that basic level of humour.
It's so fucking easy. You just take a word of phrase from a statement someone made and use it to say something funny or mean in response. Someone goes "Opie's latest youtube video is filmed like an ISIS video," and then the obvious response is "I hope it ends the same way."
How does he not even get that? Opie fucking spent hours hanging out with some of the funniest comics on the planet, and all he can manage is "R-r-read these... read these tea leaves!"

He got into entertainment to be a radio man. He was raised on the teat of radio.
He was not funny growing up, and he did not become funny when he got into the entertainment business.
His mentor is Brother Weeze, who is to radio what Marc Maron is to comedy. You could not find an unfunnier person or bigger douche.
A big reason I think Jocktober was so fantastic was the unspoken fact that probably 50% of the stuff they shit on other people for was stuff Opie did.
He was often worse than the people they made fun of. It wasn't uncommon at all.
Basically, everyone in the studio was laughing at Opie for a month out of every year and he was too stupid to realize it, and he even piled his own projected self-hatred into the mix.

Because we hate him, so we'll never laugh at him even if he did magically become funny over night. When you hate someone, it's always in the back of your mind so you don't laugh at their jokes because you're focused on hating them.

Because he intimidated people into not criticizing him when they should have, so as to not hurt his little child's ego. If he had gotten smashed as he should have, it would have forced him to improve, or to commit suicide. Either would have been fine.
We have no yes men here. We brutalize each other if/when we put out something unfunny, and sometimes even when the lines are good (the jokes are there, huh huh) we still smash each other. We became what the show should have been, and was for everyone except Tits.
