Aww shit sassily fixes hair, dem white boys can't get nothin right! Diamonique, hurry up with dem damn velocity calcucations, we aint got all day honey!

Ant did talk about this on TACS a couple of weeks ago and played the trailer. He did some research and had a very valid explanation as to how different the real life women were compared to the women in the upcoming movie. Imo very obvious agenda hollywood is trying to push portraying these black women as "sassy" and with "attitude" for the feminists and BLM movement.

In the 50's and 60's there was no such thing as a calculator. Something even the worst flip-phone does flawlessly or you can buy at a dollar store. It makes perfect sense to hire a bunch of minimum wage employees to handle that level of basic math equations, which i'm sure there was 10's of thousands of. I'm sure the movie makes it out like they were the ones writing out the equations, or one of them catches something a white man does wrong, and saves the whole mission. In reality they were basic data-entry (n) people, totally replaceable/insignificant, like the guys in Office-Space

In the 50's and 60's there was no such thing as a calculator.

There was mechanical calculators. But women were hired to perform basic mathematical calculations, they were called computers.

All-in-all though this is just hollywood "feel-good" bullshit.

The only way black women helped with the space race was by being crushed in sedimentary rocks and then used as energy to meld titanium.

Africa is rich in natural resources. "We wuz kingz", yeah you were, but now your ancestors bones are Scandium and Promethium and various other rare earth elements we need to make smart-phones and toaster ovens. So let it go, focus on the present Tyrone

This is factually incorrect. The pressures and heat required to make rare elements like Scandium and Promethium only occur naturally close to the centre of large stars. Their ancestors, given time, will more likely turn to oil, or even in some cases, rock.

Let the russkies win the space race, what's up there a buncha rocks? If I wanted to see rocks I'd go down to the ole quarry.

Who needs rocket ships? The only ship I know is the Staten Island ferry, it gets me to the job-site, who needs the moon? As long as I get to work on time I'm happy, ahhh what the hell do I know?

He talked about an interview with one of the women that was a focus of the movie. Her interview made it seem like the movie was a bunch of bullshit. She said something to the effect of she was just validating calculations. The other thing that was funny is that one of the trailers showed that it was some big thing for a black woman to go to some conference and it was a big fight to get her there. The reality of it was that her boss said something to the effect of, "I have never had a woman ask to go to that."
