I listened to a clip of Opie recently where he explained in a put on Florentine voice just how amazing Bose 'technology' is, y'know the company that sells piles of plastic cubes with paper drivers in them for $2000+ by marketing pseudo science fluff to morons in women's magazines.

What really irritates me about his perpetual lack of knowledge on a broad variety of topics is him always proclaiming "They finally figured that shit out!!", like he understood it all along & was just waiting for science & technology to catch up to him. God. Norton, the other in house tech genius, naturally concurred with him.

But yeah, that's about the only sidebar pic left that still makes me laugh since the useless mods never update them.

My dad got a Bose sound system for his TV. God, the poor rube. He thinks it's great and that's cool but it only farts out low end that sounds like a ship getting gutted by an iceberg. Idiots hear a little farty bass and think it's amazing sounding. Same shit with Beats.

I got a Bose Mini Link (the little Bluetooth speaker) for Christmas a few years back and it sounds way better than I thought it would for its size. I don't think I'd put them on the same shit level as Beats. Those are a whole different pricey mess.

My friend's parents had one. I thought that was a very 90's thing. It was always fun to crank Goldeneye on that, though.

I dont hate bose as much as some people do. I have Westone UM Pro 50s, shure se846s, and in situations where theres a lot of ambient noise i still prefer my stupid Bose QC20s

When I first came here that "Awaiting the Downfall of a Show" one with Opie and Jim in Naval gear and Ants semi-translucent face with a distant look made me laugh for like two days. Thats when I sort of realized what this place is for.
