In episode 4 of Tuesdays With Stories, Mark tells a great story of how he got into an altercation with an ex-governor, in a bar in San Diego. He didn't name the Governor, but he said that he used to wear a boa, in his former job. They yelled back and forth then Mark cracked him in the face.

This might not all be Mark's fault, Opie does have a tendency to pigeonhole his guests. Much like with Florentine not liking stuff, Vos speaking poorly and Sherrod being black, he tries to turn everyone into a one-dimensional character.

Of course this all depends on whether or not he brings it up himself.
