I havent seen the movie and I have no interest in it, I likewise couldn't give a shake about other peoples opinions on it positive or negative. I dont know the website, never heard of it, wont ever read it, never heard it mentioned so likewise I dont care how they choose to serve the people that drive their ad revenue.
Skimming the comments these people seem pretty invested in that space and seem pretty happy with that action. One overall thing that strikes me is that quadrant of people seems pretty willing to 'forgive and forget' as it were.
Something like this is more transparent, we sell a product you buy a product we messed up the product we're sorry, as opposed to a gawker or a breitbart who wants to convince you they're an objective truth factory rather than a market place of good feelings.
