He is probably working up a game plan with Sam, to take to the bosses to get his own show, keep that dreck of an advice show, probably wants to bring his MMA show in, whatever. But he doesn't know that Opie has cockblocked him already, and when Jim's contract is renewed in October, it will be for pennies on the dollar, and the best they'll offer him is the kind of time slots that they gave Sam (ie. nothing of value).
Jim will quit in disgust, and we'll hear all about it on Ant's show. It will be a few weeks of the best ratings any of them have seen in years, and keep the lights on there a while longer.
Opie will move to afternoons, and they'll run replays in the morning. It will suck harder than anything in radio history, agents and PR people will avoid it like the plague, Howard will start measuring their studio and office space for extra storage for his show.
Opie will last one more year at best, failing horrible, and he'll never be heard from again, unless you live in Utica and listen to classic rock.
