Stern, Limbaugh, Hannity, Michael Savage, Ira Glass, Terry Gross, Don Imus, Garrison Keillor, Ryan Seacrest, and Elvis Duran are all way more famous and probably a lot more respected.
I pray to all things holy that Garrison Keillor drops dead on stage at the Minnesota State Fair this year, and nobody helps him because they think it's part of his act.
Yeah I just googled him and remember its because he looks like Michael Moore mixed with post-cancer Roger Ebert. Dont know a single thing hes ever done but Im sure it sucks.
Shit, Robin Quivers and Baba Booey were always more famous than he was I'll bet High-pitched Eric or Beetlejuice were more famous than Anthony ever was.
Hannity I would say is more for TV than radio, the same with Seacrest. If you go by that standard, Oprah and Eminem would be on that list. Imus Stern and Limbaugh are legit. Never heard of Ira or Gross. The other two I guess are arguable. I would say it is not an outrageous statement to make that O and A were at one point a top talent in the radio world.
When Eric the Midget(Actor) died a surprisingly decent amount of real celebrities tweeted about it. We'll see how Ant stacks up in a couple of years when he's found dead in his mansion.
"Ant was a like another brother to me sniff, and when I started doing raqio at 18, I couldn't have wished for a better raqio partner sniff. What made Anthony great was how polarizing he was as a performer. Some days I'd say c'mooonnnn, but for the most part sniff he was like another brother. Brother Joe, where ya at with the grief counceling?!"
He was probably top five of personalities doing "Shock Jock" radio at some time in the early 2000s, but that genre fell off hard and they definitely were not as well known as some of the people doing political or sports talk.
It's worse than that since it's a dying medium. It's like saying you're a top 10 silent film actor in 1940. People will only ever remember Charlie Chaplin and Howard Stern with "who?!?" when you bring up anyone else.
They were never top 5. Ever. Not in their peak at NEW and not in 2006 before Free FM went to shit. It was always Stern, Imus and political guys like Rush.

I have a high tolerance for NPR and radio documentaries and the like. I've never been able to listen to more than 5 minutes of that fucking garbage

I have an irrational hatred for Garrison Keillor too even though I barely know who he...do you happen to know why that is?

Michael Savage is the biggest fucking dipshit / obvious closet queer that has ever lived. He is not respected.

Ira Glass hosts This American Life which is one of the most popular radio shows in the country and one of the most popular podcasts weekly.

Alex Jones was going to take no. 5 anyway and as he said, Alex doesn't see himself in competition with Gavin. It's the NWO he's against.
