I really don't mind Sam. He's a scary-lookin' product of race mixing and HRT abuse, but he makes for quality radio.

JAM with Jim and Sam shows are fun to listen to. They're so much more relaxed without Opie being there

He's always good at subtle jabs and lead ins that go over Opie's head. You can tell he steps down a level so that Tits trusts him enough as a "set up man".

I always dug Sam & Jim together. He knows how to play to Jimmy's strengths, maybe because Sam has ears that work. And common sense. Unlike the Opester.

While's 'The Sam Roberts Show' is shameful subhuman garbage similar to Sam's genetic makeup - I really enjoy Sam and Jim together. Sam does a good job 'steering the ship' into actually funny scenarios and not into a cyclone of insecurity and 80's hack premises.

Yeah he's great in an ensemble, but def does not have the chops (and certainly not the voice) to host anything by himself, he's fucking terrible. I still always liked Sam in general though.

Jim always had awesome chemistry with Sam, and it's sorely missed since Opie banished him far, far away from primetime (and replaced him with the Stengles.)

As much as Sam is a reprehensible human being with very few redeeming qualities as a human, and even less as a broadcaster, he knew his place in studio near a live mic.

He always gave Jim something to work off of, and daresay, he even made an Opie-centric bit look humorous with the "Scorch/Li'l Scorch" thing". (Spoiler alert: Sam was the funny one in that exchange)

I'd absolutely tune into "The Morning Jam With Jim & Sam" a lot more frequently than I do "OpieRadio w/Vic/Sherrod/DeStefano & a bored Norton".

Hoping for S.A.J. In October that cromag is the missing link that opie and Jim are missing. So I'm hoping that Sam ant and Jim will become what we all were hoping TACS would be.

Would love this and it would probably save TACS but it's a looonng shot. Jimmy's comfortable in every way but his soul and Sam would be leaving a very large platform at an early part of his career.

I say it all the time, but Sam Jim and Jamey Hatebreed was one of my favorite things ever. I wish they had a show every day, it's such a weird combination of people but it works.

He is just far less embarrassing than Opie on the radio. First time I've listened in a long time for the Seth Rogan interview. I could envision the moments in the interview where Opie would say something horrifically unfunny or uncomfortable. You're correct that Sam is tolerable at best, but I would give a Jim & Sam show a shot.

Sam doesn't need to be funny, he just needs to put other people in the position to be, and is very good at it. He sets them up with a softball right over the plate. Opie just throws it into the stands every time.
