Use MSPaint. Beginners use Photoshop, but what makes a great edited picture is hand-drawn pixel by pixel in MSPaint.

GIMP is free, and great. Anyone who says you can't do good subtle hair removal, breast enhancement or skin darkening with it is a liar.

All I need now is the Gimp equivalent of After Effects. I want to superimpose people's faces into movie clips
