Schumer knows how to play to a crowd and Stern can be funny when he wants to be. At the end of the day Opie has no comedic ability or timing of his own. He's a glorified board op. And a middle of the road show for him will ultimately fail.
I'd enjoy this show because of the chemistreee. It would be next to impossible for Jim to work that night shift that Sam's on though. I doubt the old Greaseman timeslot is a huge boost to Sam's listeners anyway.
