Unpopular opinion of the day: I actually like Mark Normand. He's one of the few people left on that awful show that actually says funny shit. Although, the way he talks makes me wish I had ear cancer.
Last time he was in town (Rochester) he came to an open mic and hung out, did a short 5 like everyone else, and made a few comic friends among the group I know. He's good shit.
The hate he gets is ridiculous. So he lies about his stories? Who gives a fuck. His standup doesn't hinge on them and he's so fucking quick. Conversationally he is probably the most hilarious up-and-comer they have on
Me. This just shows how poor the selection of current guests is. Telling a fake story is fucking embarrassing. He does a podcast called Tuesdays with stories and apparently all of his are made up or exaggerated? How is that not completely hateable?
Because I don't give a fuck about his dumb stories. He's hilarious quipping back and forth with anyone and zinging people. He'd be hatable to me if he wasn't funny, but he is. I don't give a fuck about anyone's moral compass as long as they can make me feel. It's the Opie & Anthony subreddit for Christ sakes. You're honestly going no to tell me that that matters to you when it comes to entertainment? Fucking grow up
Honestly, no one gives a shit when he'd punch up a story like kicking a dog to death or punching a Frenchman under water. It's more like the lying about being a big hockey fan, or liking a band, reading a book he clearly did not, just for no damn reason.
Joe's fucking hilarious. He and Mark are hilarious together and they never get pretentious when they talk which is a problem with a lot of comedians these days. The only criticism I'd have is that Joe isn't comfortable around people he doesn't know he'll clam up (his O&J appearance) whereas Normand is hilarious no matter where you put him
Joe's episode of You Made it Weird was really good. I still think SNL could have a hit pairing of him and Dan Soder doing Ultimate Worrier vs. Macho Man/Andre the Giant. The jokes write themselves. Some SNL sketch production with List and Soder would be fannntasssttic.
Joe List would be a new age Norm or Colin on SNL, and Soder could easily hang with the of them. The Pete Davidson signing was soley for rasing young people demographic, plus his back story is marketable.

Oh that won't go down well. Opie is already dealing with the menopause and the fact that he's gonna be shown the door in October.

I don't think he'll know, he's too busy filming the next season of 'Douchiest Catch' to realise.

I agree. Where you at with Joe List? I think he and Normand are really funny together.

Aren't you one of the people that would go after Opie for lying?
7 JMueller2012 2016-07-23
Opie isn't funny and his lies are worthless

How Dan Soder was rejected by SNL (TWICE!) will be something I'll never understand

I tried listening to this episode and pontificating Greg Stone was too awful to get through it.

I had to turn it off as well. Stone apologizing every time he spoke about race. Gtfo Macklamore

It was good, but that's only because it's way different than stale ass O&J. I wish it was just Normand and Ari the entire time.

Hi Mark.

I fucking love Normand. So he lies about his stories? Who gives a shit! He's more hilarious without them

All Cajuns are dirty liars. But it's what makes them such lovable scamps.
