they've been shitty for a lot longer then they were good. and they were good for a long fucking time

it was amazing for a good 10 years but I stopped paying attention to it around 2001 when the quality starting noticeably declining. Any time I've caught an episode since then I've been shocked at how bad it is. What's weird is that they'll be a whole new generation of fans now who probably have no idea how amazing and culturally relevant it used to be.
