Seriously what is with Jim's relationship with his family? I've listened to so much O&A and I didn't know the answer to this. His mom seemed like the sweetest woman on earth but Jim acts like she doesn't exist.
Someone in his family molested him and his mom knew and did nothing. So while he loves her he is also bitter and resentful of her. That's where his multiple personalities come from, they were coping mechanisms and allowed him to slip into a world of his own and be Chip, Ted or Jimmy Robinson and have adventures and be far away mentally while his hiney was being violated. Plus he had his mothering personality Helen who did for him what his real mom wouldn't do and protected him in his fantasies. It also explains why he was so sexual at such a young age, he was acting out what was done to him, sucking boys cocks and sniffing butts and his other deviant practices. Probably explains why he won't say he's gay. He figures since he was forced to suck a man and be fucked that it wasn't his choice. edit This is just my opinion and speculation. I've never heard him actually admit to being molested as a kid.
