The cops do kill about 2 times as many whites as they do blacks. Which you would never know from the way the media reports it. Most people probably think the cops kill 95% blacks, and 5% whites. BLM would have been smart to play up the fact that a shit load of whites are also killed by cops. But instead they have made it this racial angle, and angered most white people with their antics.
Yeah, but that 12 percent of the population if committing over 50% of the violent crime... It's not like black people are only committing 12% of the crime. They are disproportionately committing violent crime, so it should not be shocking that they are shot at higher rates by the police. It is however shocking to me that they are only about 25% of the total shot by the police, based on how much crime they commit.
That's true but I think the media has trouble with those statistics because at the root of the problem is the fact that the socio-economic situation that most black people find themselves in was caused by not so distant racism. Like the fact that blacks couldn't necessarily get a solid education at the school of their choice until well into the 60s and thus then couldn't get a fantastic job. I don't remember what point I was originally making.
But here's the thing. Black test scores vs whites are actually worse now than they were during the 50's... So at a certain point just blaming past racism is not getting to the root of the problem. Ultimately black people need JOBS. Descent paying working class jobs. But they keep mindlessly voting for Democrats. Democrats control every aspect of black people's lives. And they never seen to get them jobs. The solution is always more government spending, and more welfare.
