it's 12 minutes of a guy who was gonna propose to his girlfriend, but found shes always going out with an old "friend" and his buddies saw her making out with him, so he wants to dump her on the radio

A little breakdown:

  • they give the setup with the boyfriend on the line
  • call the girl, make sure she knows she's live on air
  • the hosts reel in the girl and get her excited since she knows she's gonna be proposed to
  • she's a classic boring hole with everything she says
  • they tell her they have the boyfriend on the line, there's a drumroll, the dummy is getting all flustered
  • The boyfriend sets it up really good, almost too good, before being Opie'd by one of the hosts in his last line
  • girl's freaking out
  • guy tells the girl to move out
  • eric's just a good friend from many years ago
  • she slowly becomes more hysterical, the main reason this all seems real
  • they play a soundclip of a crying baby
  • "bitch be tripping" is a thing of theirs i guess?
  • "i hate you" , "you weren't a listener anyways"
  • she hangs up. bit comes to end.

All in all, it's much easier to listen to any radio thing when you don't have any idea of how awful the show's hosts are.

There's a lot of convincing reality too it, like the guy who was on the line was believable and the woman's reaction to them and calling them cruel, but I say the "bitch be tripping" line at the end is dead give away that it's fake, if not just the general preposterousness of it, and I think I've heard the same bit done on another station.
