Prose translations are inaccurate enough, verse is basically reading a different book entirely. If you're that insistent on hearing the poetic style, learn ancient Greek. If you're a reasonable person, I like Lattimore's prose translation. He uses hexameter and tries to emulate the phonetics as well.

(Taking you seriously, pre peckahs) I recommend Nobel winner Derek Walcott's Omeros, as a modern (1990) epic poem loosely based on Homer's Iliad. It's tremendous, a 20th Century classic, and there's probably an audio version available.

I'll check it out, but meanwhile I think I'll try Rodney Merrill's translation of the Iliad.
