That's a good question. I think he probably legitimately liked the comedy/performance/conversational aspect of it. Kind of how he always talked about how men can philosophize about nothing for hours. It seemed like he was real into that and O&A gave him a platform for that.
As for the promotion part, Patrice was notoriously poor at doing the right things for his career, but I think it was usually a function of him avoiding people and subcultures he disliked, rather than pursuing people he necessarily liked. What I mean is, he wouldn't have had to like Opie and Anthony to do the show, he would just have to not dislike them. Plus, as far as promotion goes, it's not much work to go talk for a few hours in the kind of atmosphere they had. It's not like real radio where there's some annoying DJ giving him the double finger guns and making him do jokes.
I would have liked to hear his answer to that, too. I'll bet he would say he liked them. It seemed like him and Ant, especially, were pretty friendly.
i think he liked them it's kinda of hard to do hundreds of hours of radio with people that you don't like and they talked about how him and opie would have lunch together a lot and they were also the first ones he admitted his whole rape thing to
No, he really didn't use the internet for his career that much. His gf helped him set up and manage a twitter account that he wasn't particularly interested in.
