Yeah it was pretty damn good. Most comedy specials are horrible and give you little feel for what it would be like to see the guy in a club. At least from this, I would know I'm gonna laugh and have a good time when he comes into town.
This is one of the funniest specials I've seen this year, I wasn't expecting that. I thought the stepdad/dad dicks bit went on for far too long, but I laughed a lot. Good shit, thanks for the upload.
Every few minutes I would think, damn that sounds like Dave Attell. There were a few other things he did that completely reminded me of other people. I thought it was pretty good, except it seemed like nearly the last half was talking about dick size.
He said on Joe Rogan (I think it was) recently that Dave is a huge influence and he knows he talks like him, etc. As for the dick thing, Jay really needs to move on from that crutch, he talks about it constantly on LOS, and compulsively on The Bonfire. He's hilarious, but it's like that one part of him is stuck in middle school (well, and the musical taste), and it's just boring after 20 minutes talking about a guys hog / dangle / piece and then the next 20 minutes trying to get a woman to send in nude photos.
Was there for the taping, didn't translate as well as I thought it would. It was pretty damn funny to me, not Carlin, but certainly not trying to be either. Solid first hour of standup.
I will not watch this due to those gloves, rolled sleeves exposing shit tats and 90s chain. Fuck his haircut too. Oh and his belly is objectionable as well.
Most of those things aren't deal breakers for me, but if he doesn't get rid of those fucking gloves, soon, it'll be hard to say he's any better than Samcro tits.
I agree. I like Jay a lot, but he has a couple of things that a manager / agent should really encourage him to change because it's holding him back. Usually I'm not for that kind of thing, but he's essentially wearing Linus's blanket from Peanuts.
It may have been one of the douchiest things ever, but I skipped ahead like half an hour in and have been listening for 10 minutes its actually really funny.

Big jay would've fit in good during the O&A years, but it just never happened.
7 TijnTijn 2016-06-19
He fit in great with Ron and Fez.

Yup I was always under the impression he was r&fs guy and o&a felt like they were poaching him from r&f by inviting him on the show to much

Video stutters during a few parts. Audio is fine though.

Big Jay looks like he is in a domestic partnership with The Cat whisperer Jackson Galaxy.

-6 dassabessdoe 2016-06-19
The only person with a "name" that I saw live was Screech...

"Stop laughing at him! Stop laughing!" got me pretty good.

Can someone impersonate Big J in text-form right now? I remember seeing someone do one for the Bonfire that was 10/10.

Big Jay has beautiful eyes.

Big Jay looks like John Wayne Gacy dressed up as a children's bicycle repairman.

The first 20:00 had some amusing premises, but no actual laughs for me.
But there were a few smiles. :)
I think Jay's shitty/lack of education hamstrings him. His jokes would hit harder if he had a bigger vocabulary and a better sense of timing.
All things being equal, every episode of "The Bonfire" I've heard blows this away.

He should have gone with 'Thrash' for his intro.

Where'd he get those gloves? Craigslist? I'm calling the hotline.
1 Lamarspeckah 2016-06-19
It was decent but the fingerless gloves and his whole nu-metal douche persona cancels out the funny for me.

If he takes meetings with executives with them on, I'm embarrassed for everyone involved. Have we learned nothing from Dice's gloves and jacket?
1 Thetek9 2016-06-19
I've wondered why he wears them, then he talked about how Dice was one of his comic heros on the JRE this week. Maybe it's a homage?
1 packitchofsositch 2016-06-19
Every time I see them my reaction's the same as the club owner's to Michael Madsen's hat in Kill Bill 2.

Douchey intro and starts it off with boring crowd work, but it gets pretty good as you get into it. I still turned it off after 15 minutes though.
8 chippersan 2016-06-19
ah fuck sanfransico69er didn't like it? damn it i guess theres not point in watching it now
-5 sanfrancisco69er 2016-06-19
lol, no I did like it. I went back and watched the whole it was the most Ive ever laughed at a comedy special in a long long time.
1 Thetek9 2016-06-19
So you're just admitting your first post was that of dick cunt?
0 sanfrancisco69er 2016-06-19
Yeah I guess I am...my opinion changed after I actually watched it, it was a really funny comedy special.
EDIT: actually after reading the comment, I did say it was good originally...
5 Lyle_Chippers0n 2016-06-19
You didn't enjoy him fist-bumping Metzger?

-1 dassabessdoe 2016-06-19

2 sanfrancisco69er 2016-06-19
lol yeah no, after actually watching it was probably the funniest comedy special of the past few years.
1 dassabessdoe 2016-06-19
Yeah no indeed.
