Live Stream/Discussion of old O&A show

I know something similar to this was already brought up before but I'd like to do a live stream of an old show (I have a couple specific ones from 05 in mind) that would be fun to discuss/trash. I just listened to one with Patrice where Opie is just awful throughout the whole show that I thought would make for an entertaining chat. I'm not super computer-savvy so I have no idea how to make this happen but if anyone else is into it let's figure it out.

I can't tell if you're actually wondering or just being a silly goose. I paint material for houses, siding and stuff.

Not a clip, the show I had in mind is 04-15-05 from CCRed95's archive. Opie is pretty bad throughout the whole thing but it's still a good show so I thought that'd be a good one. I'm gonna be busy for the next couple hours so give me a heads up if you're going to start that show up. I'll make an account on that streaming site when I get back so I can chat.

I still want to do this, but my hosting company told me that if i started doing live streaming, id need to pay for a dedicated server (even though i already fucking dropped $1000 for Unlimited hosting and bandwidth...)

Ive been thinking of a way to get around this by having a client-side player that forces the player to scrub to the correct position based on the global time on the server. This could be buggy, its definitely not ideal, but it might work.

As for chat, theres a ton of messaging packages already developed so i dont foresee too big of an issue there.

Yeah your post is the one I was thinking of. I had no idea hosting and bandwidth could be so expensive. I'm not ready to put money down on it but if there's another way we can do it I'll do anything I can to help out.

Hosting/domain fees are usually cheaper for a basic website. But that site has around 1000 Gb of audio on it and a fairly decent amount of traffic, so i just went for unlimited everything for 3 years.

Im a beginner with web development, this is my first website done from scratch. So im sure a streaming sync feature is feasable for a good web developer but i just dont really know what the fuck im doing
