Because he had so little prepared for the show he and those two other queers had a dance off to avoid taking the call. And they're supposedly a little better after Ant went to rehab. I don't think Anthony was going to start shit, he probably just wanted to let people know he's still alive and plug his network. Although given Opie's thin skin any joke would be considered him insulting the show. And Opie is too stupid to realize he could own him by mocking his Network if he did try to insult him. Not to mention he could bury Ant on dozens of other things to completely humiliate him. But Opie isn't that bright.
