I'd forgotten about this. Funny how Opie kept acting like he wanted to contribute something, but every time he actually got a word in, he has absolutely nothing.
I remember, after this appearance, they joked on the show about how Ant wouldn't shut up, and Opie just couldn't break into the conversation. The thing is....knowing how much Opie EVER contributes, I imagine he was actually pretty happy with how that went. How nervous did Opie have to be, preparing to go on Letterman, knowing that he is nothing without Ant, and that Ant is the only one of the two of them that can get a laugh?
His big, exaggerated reactions are funny too. It comes off more like he is a fan of Anthony who was lucky enough to sit on stage with him while he was being interviewed.
ME: Hey everybody.
It's Opie... from the Opie and Anthony show.
Sometime between now... and the end of the interview, I'm going to make it rain balls... on the audience... from above.
Spread the word.
It's going to be a VURRY... VURRY special show.

TL;dr : Opie sucks. Always has, always will.

I recall Ant saying that Opie asked Letterman if he could throw balls to the audience.

They look like they got their wardrobe from craft services.

I remember Opie saying that he got a pee dot on his pants before going on stage and had to change at the last minute.

Good thing Ellen DeGeneres was also a guest that night and left her dressing room unlocked.

Regardless of the fact that Opie gives us nothing during the interview, I still appreciate these backstage pics

Opie was super confident about this appearance, too.

And most of the interview is about their daddy.
