Is this in reference to the 9th circuit court of appeals ruling that it isn't a constitutional right to carry a concealed firearm? Who gives a shit? You can still open carry if you feel like you need to have a gun on you. If you want to conceal carry you can register for a permit to conceal carry. How is this an issue? If carrying a gun is about self-defense and safety I'd think open carrying is just as safe as concealed carrying. Hell, open carrying is probably even safer because if a would-be-mugger sees you have a gun on you chances are he won't be mugging you.
