Criminal Court is real fucking tedious--At least in NYC/LI. "Justice" is not swift. I think I had 5 or 6 appearances (at least 3 were continuances) until I was finally sentenced. It is like an added sentence because the whole time you're in and out of court, if you're poor you're in jail. you don't just need private prisons. judges, lawyers, people working at the county administration, people handling paperwork, this is all part of the system. these people have jobs, and to justify their jobs - they need cases.

That SiriusXM money is being steadily drained. I have a relative who works for a prominent law firm and those fuckers bill their clients mercilessly, especially the wealthy ones. Every time Anthony talks about the case to the lawyer on the phone or one of the lawyers clerks or secretaries, he gets billed. Lawyer or someone in his firm has to call the court or the prosecutors office, he gets billed. Every piece of paper they file, every copy they run off or print from the computer, Anthony is billed. Every minor detail about the case is billable. My relative told me they are supposed to add up calls so they reach a billable point, like 30 minutes here, 10 minutes there, 15 minutes etc etc to reach an hour but some of them just round up and make an hour from a 22 minute phone call because the clients rarely go through what they are billed to check every second and you know Anthony isn't keeping track of any of it.
