You see LA comics are motivated by the allure of Hollywood and are usually booking gigs to try and get on TV, whereas New York comics are in the trenches man, they live comedy, work on their craft and travelling a lot for gigs not like those fancy LA comics.

I tried to listen to the latest Rogan episode with Joey Diaz and lasted 15 mins before they started jerking each other off about how good the camaraderie at the Comedy Club is and how they all just love being around each other....fucking yuck.

You're obviously being sarcastic but I've actually stopped listening to podcasts from LA except for Kill Tony. I used to listen to Rogan, Joey Diaz, Greg Fitzsimmons, Bill Burr, etc. I get the point that almost all comics are a bit self-righteous and full of themselves but most NY comics are able to keep it in check much better.
