Having liked STP, Soundgarden, 90s FM/MTV rock at some point in your life would be a prerequisite to liking this.
SteveC years were great, no facebook or smartphones back then. You had whackbag, paltalk, and Steve's shitty personal website where he uploaded videos they talked about during the show. This I think this was before youtube too. You had to download mpg files from froundrymusic.com with his shitty logo overlayed on it, they still rip him for that.
That was a great time. We mock Ant for rehashing the same movie and TV references like an aging man sifting through the rubble of pre-dementia, but back in the early XM days, like 2002-2006, him and Jimmy felt like hearing your funny older relatives talk about movie and TV culture in a way that made you give a shit about it. It introduced me to man tv shows, actors, movies from a generation that would have otherwise been a blind spot. Even today on youtubes from that time period you have comments of people asking where the quotes are from, what is the reference.
i wasnt around back then, i havent even listened to a live show ever. I started listening to just archives after finding them on youtube around 2010. Im kinda pissed that i didnt bother listening live on shitty paltalk, jocktober seems like a lot more fun if you were there. I was never really a fan of early XM (which was 2004-2006 btw) because it was just too much nervous manufactured whackyness, but cell phones and twitter really did ruin the show.
They started on XM in 2004 but otherwise you're spot on. The show was so lively and fun in those days. Some of it is a rough listen to now and seems douchey but that's only because we look back at it in 2016 goggles.

Meh. Joe Roganish type of music. Ive always thought that genre of music was cheesy as hell.

It's sounds like the worst of the 90s rock

The cover or the song in general? Either way, me too. Better times.

both but this ones actually like a decent professional-ishly mixed song.

I like the original more. The singing for this is too fast.

The lounge jazz one with the guy and girl is the best.

This one won the remake contest didn't it? This one and the 8-bit version were my favorites.

If you were born in the late 80s or after and have some sort of wacky facial hair.
