The pre-XM stuff wasn't nearly as good as the XM stuff. People back then used to say that it was, but I went and listened to a huge library of it a few years back and it was great, but nothing compared to XM. They did a lot of the phony radio-guy stuff that they eventually went on to hate and attack with Jocktober. Basically, you're not missing much.
