fuuuuuck, i was actually rooting for him. what else sucks i love ratings, really brings a cold cruelty to self important actors/writers/etc. and their art.. hope schumers show is down, thats the plus side of execs only caring about ratings
i miss when execs cared about weight and told their fatty fat actresses to lose some of it before they would let them back on decent folk's living room TV screens
Jack from 30 Rock said it best about these chubby bitches. "You either need to lose 30 pounds or gain 40. Anything in between has no place on television."
I liked it too. I thought it really found it's groove from the Adrian Brody episode on. It's also nice that it's only a half hour, and not stretched out to fill an hour.
There's far worse on the pay channels now than Dice.
I love Dice to death, but I couldn't even finish one episode of this. I love him as an actor but as far as him playing "him" and the world having to see this crazy, uninhibited, one of a kind NY fish out of water? I'd had it years ago. It worked for Entourage, but that was it. I think his schtick has worn thin on everyone.
Showtime has some good shows. I hear Penny Dreadful is really good, haven't checked it out tho. Shameless was decent at one point, then I grew to hate all the characters, hoping they'd die. I tried watching Dice's show cuz /u/stinkskc recommended it, it sucks tho. I guess you're right, Showtime is shit.
They're all hateable. At first I only hated Frank cuz he's a bad father, then I hated Fiona cuz she's a dumb slut, then Ian cuz he's a dramatic bipolar faggot, then Lip cuz he's a self destructive dumbass, then Debbie cuz she's literally retarded. Now Frank is the character I like the most.
Are these just the live tv ratings because they released all episodes at once online after the first episode aired. If the online numbers are bad too then the show is done.

It's like the execs forgot Dice's career ended in the 80s.

I don't know why you felt you had to go for the jugular.

That's a shame, his show is pretty damn funny. Miles better than anything on Comedy Central.

I agree. I actually like Dice now compared to his early career. Saw him live and he killed it.

It's better than Louie, I'll go that far.

I was thinking that show "Girls", I also find it more watchable than "ballers", and a few of the smaller shows that pop up here and there.

It's on Showtime. Compound Media has more subscribers than Showtime.

They take the characters way too far. It was originally a British TV show.

I know, I tried watching it at one point but didn't wanna put on subtitles so I turned it off.
