Loved the Ron and Fez show and i know how hilarious Ron can be but the new show isnt funny. I give it a listen every month but just leave disappointed. For example last show i listend to was 05 10 2016 and they talked about a baby swimming in a pool and how people are mad at the parents, so they talked 20 mins about how the people are wrong and babys should learn to swim young. Thats the pattern everytime i listen, shitty story form the ibang + dumb people commenting -> Gail and Ron say their opinion, that wouldnt be bad if it wasnt so unfunny and straight with Gail laughing at every remark, i dont know man. Seems to me if Fez brought that story Ron would laugh at him. Then they have some fucking boring guest nobody cares about but they interview them with so much interest, ugh.I turned off couple of minutes later when Ron asked: "Who do you think is the lone wolf from the people on the show?" and the proceeded to list people like Dave Attel as a lone wolf and commenting on the people in studio if they are a lone wolf, I SHIT YOU NOT. What happend ? Has the show really cahnged that much from ron and fez or im just a nostalgic douche? I wanna like it but i cant.

I like the show overall, but it can also be pretty annoying and boring. Gail really softens Ron up, who is at his best when his comedy is coming from a mean place. Joe, Vito, or Chris will say something sort of reasonable, and because Ron is a grouchy contrarian he'll rip into them hard no matter how reasonable their stance. But then Gail will say something completely retarded and he'll let it slide. And 95% of the time Gail has the same opinion as her father.
Also going around the room for half an hour talking about your favorite sandwich or Rolling Stones album (for the tenth time) is not great radio.

It's good and I like it. Chris Stanley is great with Ron everytime and I like Gail. You can't listen to entire shows and expect everything to be a fawking home run chippah anymore.
Just wait for O&J, Bennington, TACS, Hoo Hoo Stern on-demand, look at the topics they discuss, and scroll through whatever interests you.

Ron Bennington wanted a vanity program that would service his whale-sized ego, with a co-host who would laugh at everything he said . . . that was the trouble with Fez, by the way; not that he wouldn't talk (he very often did), but that he wasn't supporting The Great Man by laughing non-stop . . . and agree with everything he said, regardless. That's the show he wanted Ron & Fez to be; that's the show he's doing now..
And since no self-respecting broadcaster on earth would, evidently, debase themselves to his requirements, he brought in his retarded daughter to co-host, and SiriusXM went along with it.
He was funny before he got it into his fat head that he was Charlie Rose. Now he's not.

Ron, Opie and Jimmy in October would be a wonderful show. With special guest appearances from Sober Anthony calling from prison.
But Ron on his own shows? Never done it for me.

what exactly does Opie bring to the table in that lineup?
do people actually enjoy anything he has to say? can anyone name a time when Opie told a really good or compelling story? and if so - doesn't the sheer amount of times he's derailed good conversation in the past outweigh his potential to do anything else?

As long as we're talking about it how about how many people Ron lectured about paying their dues, usually in a completely unpleasant way (Sam, Dave, Shelb, Rustin the kid, shit interns who balked at doing radio with other shit interns etc) and then proceeded to install his experience free daughter as his co-host on his international show. He told sam and dave to go to Toledo and gail got co host on the strength of her single videogame credit (another job Ron got her.)

People suck his dick here way too much. He was funny with Fez. He is amusing with Ant. But alone he is fucking terrible. How anyone can listen to the new show with his painfully unfunny calf is beyond me. It's appropriate being aired on the Oqie Radio station, because it sounds on par with any other shit local radio show.

I feel that its more Fez gave Ron A LOT more to work with than Gail and Pepper will ever be able to. Ron was (and still would be) amazing at dissecting Fez's fears and playing devils advocate to whatever Fez was oddly outraged against that day. Fez also knew how to fake a fight or a breakdown on the show to make things more interesting, Gail and Chris can't act on the radio and they'll never have fez's insanity and hypersensitivity to stupid shit. So Ron looks bad by comparison because its always pretty much "I agree" from Gail and drug talk with Chris.

It's still an ok listen, but it's just as easy to skip. That was never the case with the old R&F. The dynamic now is just happy talk, a few Ron quips, excessive giggling, reading the internet, and shilling for guests and their projects. That's pretty weak content, even with a brilliant comedic mind at the helm.

They're all old and becoming irrelevant, Ron, Ant Opie Jim and Howard are becoming the exact thing we hate. It's also hard to relate to millionaires that have little or no interaction with everyday shlubs like us.
It seems like the sub is filled with younger people and we need to ditch them for shows like the Bonfire and Legion of Skanks.

Why? Because it's not the Ron and Fez show anymore. You're trying to compare the current show to the old Ron and Fez format. It's not the same. A better question should be do you prefer Bennington or Ron and Fez.

It's certainly nothing like Ron and Fez in their "glory days" of NEW/JFK. I think my biggest complaint is Ron was forced to carry the show for so long that he has this God like persona now that what he says goes and even if he's joking it's taken as gospel. Even Gail and Pepper change their opinion to match his.
Back in the day, Ron would bust balls and get his just as much. It was much more give and take then it is now with Ron pontificating or interviewing some obscure actress that interests him.
