They've done polls in Iraq 10 years after the initial invasion, and reliably Iraqis were glad to be rid of Saddam. Our focus should be on Saudi Arabia, but I'm glad we've given Iraq a shot at a civilized democracy.

You are making some major assumptions about Hitchens actual beliefs. Nothing you or anyone else says will convince me that a dictator committing genocide would be better left in power. I'm well aware of other atrocities that we didn't stop, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't help when we can. I imagine Rwanda would have been messy if we had intervened, but I can't imagine a worst scenario than what actually occurred.
