Jesus Christ, Lou. It's a fucking show where skateboarders do crazy stunts and a clown eats weird stuff and shoves things up his asshole.
I truly hate everybody now. If I'd go back in time to the early 2000s and tell myself that Louis CK talking to Johnny Knoxville about Jackass on the Opie & Anthony Show would happen and I would hate it, I wouldn't know what to think.
I don't agree with you first of all and I'm not on the Louis hate-train yet, your description is correct but I'm pretty sure people 100 years from now will still be watching the Jackass movies because they're so viscerally hilarious and the comedy is bodily so it relates to basically every human. It's not important or smart in redefined comedy or anything like that, but it's the bottom timeless physical comedy instinct and they set the bar really, really high until the next group comes around whose capable and willing to do the same kinds of stupid shit. What I'm saying is it's fun to watch people get hurt and almost die, especially if the people are throwing themselves into it and really laughing the whole way through.
I just listened to the interview though and I want to give a little context on the room. Knoxville came in, Opie talked about expensive allergy medication, did an uncomfortable cringe-guffaw when Florentine asked Knoxville about his hugely publicized dick injury, like it wasn't polite, Jim and Jim basically made fun of Opie, then Louis came in. Knoxville repeats his dick story at Opie's sensitivity pace, talks about jerking off with a catheter in and says 'take care of myself', Louis seems perturbed and says, 'you mean jerk off? what wouldn't you just say masturbate?' It's at this point that the room got any good because Knoxville realized, 'oh, I understand, the man with his name on the channel is an imbecile that everyone shuts out.'
I think Louis actually groaned a few of the times that Opie talked after that.
I remember the first girl I fucked pretty much wanted me to fist her. I was three fingers deep and she said "more", then I put a forth in and she said "more". I didn't know what to do so I stopped like a faggot. I was such a fucking prude when I was 16, I wish I could go back and kick my ass.
I know, but I had so many more opportunities to get laid that I never took advantage of. I thought sex was a special thing that you should only do with someone you loved. I'll never get 16 year old pussy again, and that hurts. :(
can anyone see louies right hand under the table? was he literally jerking off during this? weird how he brushed off knoxvilles compliment then gave him the gushiest one ive ever heard in my life. i liked jackass too but jesus, that was less about the movies and more about his ability to see the art in everything.
weird how he brushed off knoxvilles compliment then gave him the gushiest one ive ever heard in my life.
Louie knows how to play the game. Jim even made fun of him for it right when he started to get "for real famous." Louie saw one of the guys from Hall and Oates and Jim witnessed Louie gushing to him, and they were just like "Ok thanks."
Well, he was teasing Louie because he got blown off and Hall/Oats didn't know who he was. If he was gushed back to, I don't think Jim would mention it.
If you listen to his O&A appearances in order you can hear him gradually become more and more self-absorbed. He always had great insight into things, but at first he was like 'isn't this shit funny' and now he's like 'listen to me, because what I say is important.' I don't think anyone who takes themselves or anything else seriously can truly be funny.
If everyone tells you you are amazing at some point you are going to believe it. That's why I still love Burr! He couldn't take a compliment to save his live and thank god for it. It kept him humble.
People hate on Jay and it may very well be justified (I never followed his career or stand up closely), but him bashing Louis Ck and Gervais for being Hollywood phonies was one of the most hilarious things I ever heard, I've been sick of the CK ballwashing for so long now
Um, excuse me, Fellini is Italian. Louis (pronounced Louie, obviously) clearly stated that Jackass is high art and therefore French. Only French people smelling each other's farts can make you shake with the kind of ecstasy that Louis describes.
I thought the title would be an exaggeration but Jesus, he's starting to sound like a parody of himself. I think he's told this same story on O&A before about watching Jackass around the time of his divorce. He basically said "I thought it would be dumb but it was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen and it cheered me up."
He tells the story now and it's a monologue about the healing power of laughter.
Total side note, I've never seen more insanely hot young chicks in a movie theater in my life for any other movie/series than Jackass. Every goddamn time I've ever gone, it looked like one of those fucking "college dorm" pornos.
He always played a bit of the character on the radio. I remember one time in 2009-2010 when Anthony was all in on the politics, Louie made a disparaging comment about Noam Chomsky and tagged it with 'he's actually one of my personal heroes, i just said it to make you [anthony] laugh'

Have you ever been a professional skateboarder? You wouldn't understand, you're just a civilian.

During the interview Knoxville describes a stunt that was inspired by an old Tom and Jerry gag he saw. What more could this man offer you??
6 Blurgette 2016-04-18
But it isn't "on the Opie and Anthony Show". It's on the Opie and Jimmy Show. Huge difference.

Did you see the sign on the wall? We are listening to Opieraqio.

I don't know many 16 year olds who would dive right into fisting don't be too hard on yourself

Jim shitting on somebody for fawning over a celebrity? I literally do not believe that.

Just for a point of reference was this before or after the a-rod incident?
3 Phantas_Magorical 2016-04-18
The tradeoff with that H&O bit was having Opie record a real life moment. Everyone hated him for that.
"What?? What's wrong?? I record EVERYTHING"

One of people's favorite clips of Louie is when he does the same thing to Paul-o's homemade piece of shit.
13 23cigs 2016-04-18
get Jay Mohr on the phone. I need to hear mohr imitating Louis and Gervais discussing the artistry of Jackass.
14 pinkie_pride 2016-04-18

Jay Mohr said his wife wrote his last standup special. And he told a story about how he relapsed after going to the dentist. So he isn't without sin.
6 proto000 2016-04-18
Mohr fucking stinks though
7 dooogie 2016-04-18
Its so hard to believe this guy used to be funny. Why does this faggot have to try and see the "art" in everything?

7 TakeMeXenu 2016-04-18

6 TotallyNotObsi 2016-04-18
Not just funny people. People who get famous in Hollywood. When you're surrounded by yes men around you, this can happen to almost anyone.
7 TriangleDimes 2016-04-18
It's okay to like Jackass without comparing it to French art cinema. What a despicable display.

What's with the litany of recent links to OpieRadio? Like I want to contribute to that gynecomastic fatass's viewcount.

It's our last connection to the show.
