Old-timey O&A YouTube Channels

20  2016-04-05 by braunheiser

With all the monsters in uploading these days, some of the very old channels get lost in the mix. This thread is to appreciate some older O&A channels, back in the 15 minute upload limit days. A lot of these channels have tons of good gems that have been forgotten as the years have gone by. If you know of any feel free to add them to the list too:

  • Yarsh29 -- Tons of clips and moments and audio. Endless amount of clips to listen to. Uploads ends at 3 years ago and go all the way back to 7 years ago

  • fobias79 -- Similar to Yarsh29, the uploads are from 6-7 years ago

  • Mrmys1900 -- Just like the above 2 channels,

  • Frrrrrrrrunkis -- Same description as Yarsh and probably with even MORE content, and still active. These 4 channels are the essential old time O&A channels, between them it'd be impossible to run out of things to listen to

  • eyehatemyjob -- Started uploading Chip videos that have multiple segments in each video around the time Norton started doing the character on the air regularly. THe uploads are from 3-6 years ago

  • hoohoohoorobin -- Medium amount of videos, 5-6 years ago with a lot of clips that are older from early XM days

  • TheBobWhooKidSamShow -- The best source of any classic O&A before XM days content one would need

  • Rick P -- Has a lot of assorted stuff involving Bill Burr on O&A, O&A clips, old Uninformed clips / other stuff

Know where I can get some classic Rich Vos plugs?

holic120 also had some good ones

The BoboWhooKidSamShow one has probably the oldest and most hard to find shows from the reeeaallly early years but that stuff is totally unlistenable. The best stuff was '07 - '11. Was Jasonayeiter not worth mentioning or did you just not think of him? Also RichardHatred doesnt have the most but has a lot of really good condensed bits. Also Kevyn999 is the only channel that has a lot of the earliest Jocktober bits but a lot of them won't play for me :(.

I can get into some WNEW highlight clips with comics going at it and stuff like that, but I think mostly I'd have to agree with you. They were also just making radio for people to hear in their car while they drive home instead of a show people were downloading on Audible daily and replaying 24 hours so it's really not meant to have any replay value in a lot of ways. It's probably awesome for nostalgia but I was not listening to O&A before XM so it doesn't have that value for everyone I guess

I considered Jasonayeiter, Steven Knight, Hoorah, Logan etc. to all be the "monsters" of today. I know Jason has slowed down recently as has Steven, but when you search Opie and Anthony they pretty much have the first few pages monopolized and these clips get lost to the wayside sometimes (not all the time though). For good reason too, their channels are so packed full of stuff, and lots of their uploads are compilations of some of these older users' clips that they had all separated.

Those big uploaders are like the iTunes / Spotify of O&A, but these old big channels are like digging through the record shop! cringe

I've recently stumbled upon a Chanel called

Richard Hatred

that has nice compilations of the boys talking about weird news stories and the show Hoarders

You're like that cunt in the chair in the Matrix part 2. You know everything.

I gots one for ya big brain:

What's the oldest audio you know of that has Opie yapping on radio? I'm talking of the very earliest shit available.

I bet Erock has it, but do you?

.....

Aside from the little bit of audio Opie has played over the years from his early days September 14th 1994, The first O&A show is the earliest "complete" show

This will suffice.

Did you do the sick puppies archive files? I don't listen to the show but has jim done chip, Edgar etc since ant left or are all the compilations all just from O&A and there's not enough to an O&J version with new stuff?
