And just a reminder. There were reports of gambling in the activity room last night. Anthony, please be respectful of what other people may be dealing with here in treatment. You could trigger someone with a gambling addiction. Now please go to group.

I'll be stunned if you can sustain this for an entire month.

Oh, I can. One day at a time, my man. One day at a time. I've lived that life, brother. I did so many marijuanas sometimes it'd make you sick. I was out there, rippin' and runnin', from '85 to January 3, 2001. Went to my first meeting that day. Been sober for 15 years. Everyday's been better than the next. God has a plan, my man.

Did I just read the pilot episode for TACS Mk 2?

I've been out there. I used to be in the business of rollin refers and eatin-up refers. The day comes for everybody brother when you gotta drop on your knees and praise Christ.

The other guy is better at this than you are.

I'm in training. One day I'll be hilarious.

Good luck Derosa. KKTITN

Well now you're not being nice, man!

It really adds to the experience if you read these posts in Colin Quinn's voice.

Its not fair that someone took Godfather 1-3, Goodfellas, Heat, and Casino from the resource center. What am i supposed to watch? The orderly told me we only can take 1 movie per day.

Sorry Anthony, it's a busy day. Here, do you like comedies? Mississippi Burning is still available.

There is Face/Off in the DVD player. And we have Clean and Sober with Michael Keaton and My Name is Bill W. with James Woods.

No way he is in group at this point. If he is addicted to xanies, then is is being weaned. You can't go to group if you are still playing with a loaded deck. He is probably paying the big bucks for some intensive one-on-one, getting a cleanse, B-12 shots, lots of exercise, nutrition. The sharing crap will come later.

Christ, wait until Step 8 ... they are going to need a fuckin' ream of paper.

Staff on our detox unit realize that withdrawals can be difficult, but we encourage all our patients to make it to group if they feel up to it. Anthony seems to be responding favorably to the detox meds and has attended 2 groups so far.
