"I used to be an addict. But now I'm not!"

Yeah that guy pisses me off. How can he counsel addicts when he claims he is no longer one? I always thought a big part of recovery is acknowledging you are and always will be an addict or alcoholic. You just have to learn to control the urges and divert them to good uses.

Let go. Let god.

Am I right?

Something something higher power.

Yeah thats the line that should let anyone listening realize its a scam. Love the commercials though. It lets me know that whatever channel or program I'm watching considers delusional addicts a targeted market.

Yeah it's so cheesy and akin to the old Hair Club for men slogan. "Remember I'm not only the Hair Club President, but I'm also a client."

I have no idea what I'm talking about but isn't that just one route to recovery?

That AA stuff works for a lot of people, but I would imagine that other people have conquered addiction in less drastic ways than resigning to the fact that they will always be "addicts."

Maybe not though, fuck me

I just think that you have to always keep it in your head that you are an addict or an alcoholic to keep yourself honest. If an addict thinks they are a former addict then they may have the mindset that "Hey I used to be an addict but now I'm not so it won't hurt me to smoke this joint, or snort this one line of coke."

Jim Norton is absolutely rollin'!!!!!!!!!

Just sent this off, hopefully I can help.

Hi there. My son Anthony is finally at a place where he is accepting that he has a problem with alcohol and substance abuse. About a year ago he was beaten up quite badly while trying to source cocaine at 3am. He lost his job as an air conditioner repairman and has been off the rails ever since. He refuses to get a job and spends all of his time getting drunk and yelling at the television and at our housekeeper Ramone. Anthony has lost contact with all his old friends, and has started to hang around with some undesirable types (Gavin, Dave etcetera). This has been especially hard on Anthony's brother Joe, who has some severe developmental issues and cannot support himself. Things came to a head a few months ago when Anthony got into a drunken fist fight with a teenage boy called Danny in the house and the police were called. In order to alleviate any criminal issues we are hoping to put Anthony into a 90 day rehab center and would appreciate any advice.

Best regards,

Steve Carlisi

You did good.

His new co-host is Pax Prentiss

That's the kind of alias someone adopts after they've burned every bridge in their life and driven their parents to an early death.

In other words, a perfect co-host for Anthony.

I wish Ant would choke him.

If it is rehab, I hope it works. Yeah, we're cold heartless motherfuckers, but that guinea has too much talent to be where he is. Pills and booze ruined it for the lil fella.

How much talent does he really have? He was funny in ball busting situations in a room full of people busting balls.

It's like you can find almost any construction worker or tin knocker to do that job.

Plus, I don't think you get to blame pedophilia on having one too many beers

Funny, how people think that doing 18/19/20/21 year old girls falls under pedophilia...

yeah but he does voices too. VOICES!!!

ONE twitter rant ruined it for him. If they got back on the air if would have been sorted out. You have to admit youre kind of jumping to conclusions to say he has all these pill and alcohol problems. He drinks friggin Bud Light. No way a 54 year old serious alcoholic would still be drinking light beer.

Your right, I am jumping the gun on pills, but light beer is still beer, and the red wine to boot.

Jesus wept, how much does that place cost?

We offer two programs at Passages Malibu. The first program is the Passages ‘A’ program which consists of 80 percent one-on-one, individualized treatment sessions with 10 elite therapists in a basic 30 day stay. For 30 days, the cost of our program is $112,000K which also includes a private room for your stay. We can accept a deposit of $14,500.00. For two weeks the program is $56,OOO.

We also offer a Malibu ‘B’ Program for $68,500 for 30 days. This program includes 65 percent individualized, one-on-one therapy sessions per month. The ‘B’ program does not include a private room accommodation during the client’s stay, but a private room can be secured for an additional fee. For two weeks the program is $34,250. The style and modality of integrative therapy and location are the same with both Malibu programs. A private room can be added for $22.5K additional per month.

Are they hiring? Good golly.

Wow does that look expensive.

Which is why Anthony can't afford to go there now. He'll probably have to check into some state run live in rehab. I just hope wherever he goes he runs into some people that's he's referred to as "savages" and they recognize him.

"And lastly tonight, former shock jock Andrew Cumia was stabbed to death at a rehab facility. Mr. Cumia had checked himself in at a judges orders and was killed by a young man in his twenties. He is survived by no one of consequence other than his brother, noted white supremacist Josephine Cumia. Thank you and good night from all of us here at channel 12 news."

There's a story in Sizemore's book about Robert Downey Jr going to some like maximum security rehab place in the middle of nowhere in San Bernardino. They still have no idea how, but somehow he escaped and walked like 5 miles through the desert in bare feet and his pajamas, got to the nearest highway, and hitched a ride out of there. THAT is one determined motherfucker.

Tony Stark gotta save the world. Or make crack rocks in balloons.

It's the Tiger Blood

Found the Cablevision subscriber!

I know you guys THINK Ant has all this "fuck you" money left. But he honestly wouldn't be able to go to that place, even with a Payment plan and a O&A reunion contract signed.

So you do his books?

Gotta love a rehab center that sells men's fleeces.
