Opie will and should never get back with Anthony. Opie has been getting trashed relentlessly by Anthony. He has zero motivation to bring back a toxic element. He will ride it out at Sirius for as long as they idiotically continue to re-sign him. If they pull the plug, he can get a gig spinning records out in the suburbs.
If anything these two years proved that all 3 of them are giant hypocrites, I bet given the opportunity they would do radio together again. You saw ol' twitchy thumbs get all giddy when asked whether he would come back.

People can rebound from fights. one conversation concluding that its in both of their best interests and they could both get over all of it. they hated each other for 15 years and made the professional relationship work. I dont even care if they get back together, but I think there's like a 2-3% chance. If Opie loses the gig at Sirius and Ant contacts him before he accepts a job spinning records, I wouldnt be totally surprised if he gave it a shot while looking for a new job. Ant nixes the TACS network and we get Opie & Anthony in podcast form from the NYC studio. I know its a stretch but I know people that have done really fucked up shit to each other and gotten over it.

Anthony might be motivated to try a reconciliation based on his dwindling fortune. Jimmy would want it because he can't crack into TV and his standup career is going to stagnate. But Opie has his wife, 2 kids that may or may not be his, probably more money than he'll conceivably need for the rest of his life and Sirius willing to keep him on the air for at least a little while longer. The only thing he doesn't have is the viral video hit he desperately wants but he won't get that with Anthony.
I don't see Opie having the guts or the need to put his neck on the line for Anthony. He may try and keep Jimmy around but bringing Anthony back would hurt him more than help him so I don't see a reunion in the cards. Maybe a sit down in a neutral location like Bobby Kelly's or Rich and Bonnies podcast to argue and discuss everything but that's about all.
I think you are right. When I though about this equation again, Opie is in the best position and doesn't have to go out of his way... EXCEPT, if he wants what once was... And that is, a great fucking radio show.
Just get the show back together you fucking babies. Anthony already has a studio in NY and a network infrastructure in place. Get over your undeserved egos and give us entertaining radio again.
