All Alternative Tentacles bands are listenable. Jello's not a fool.

I disagree. And if your fucking with me fine. But these guys are gold I love it. You can hear the locust, q and not u, minor threat, fugazi, the misfits, dead Kennedy's, fucking lightning bolt. For the time they were as original as you can get. We saw a revival of this style around 06. With bands like q and not u, and dismemberment plan etc. I'm so glad I gave em a listen. Amazing shit.

Wha? Jello Biafra owns Alternative Tentacles. Was in DK. This band is on that label.

It's his label. Or it was in the 90's.

No I thought the same thing. I haven't paid attention to music for 15 years so maybe my references are weird.

Saw them last in the mid-90's opening for Mr Bungle and the Melvins. That was a good gig and I remember really enjoying them.
Are they still active? Haven't heard that name in years and surprised to hear about them on here...

It seems like they do festivals here and there still

Yes NoMeansNo is great. Check out The Sky Is Falling and I Want My Mommy...it's an album they did with Jello from the Dead Kennedys.

They have a a side band called The Hanson Brothers. It's the Hansons from Slapshot meets the Ramones. Hockey, girls and beer, great stuff. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hanson_Brothers

Been a fan for many years now. One of the most underrated bands ever. People say The Melvins are underrated, but nothing like NoMeansNo. Also they should be an inspiration to Joe. You can be old as fuck and rock like a mother fucker and not rely on being a shit tribute band.
1 Popblawo 2016-03-13
Yeah maybe he could start up something new! I'm thinking..... Yesmeansyes?
1 NoirMagieGateau 2016-03-13
If he started a NoMeansNo tribute band I would forgive him for anything he does. Hell, I'd hire them to play my apartment living room and buy old Rotgut records.

Have only really listened to Wrong, fucking great. It's catching up and Rags and Bones are both fantastic songs. We've been spoilt how fuckin numpty Ants been lately, so a little downtimes feels worse than usual. Nice to know some of you cunts have better taste in Music than the other garbage we're all here for.

You say they're good..but are they DEMONRIOT?

Listening now, pretty good shit. I know nothing about punk music, but when Jim Goad filled in for Gavin on TGMS, he had the guy from The Dwarves on. I gave them a listen, and that's some good shit too.
