Dear Jimmy

You tried the indiegogo thing for the cartoon, and it just wasn't meant to be.
Business ventures are tried and fail all the time. There's risk involved. At least you had the opportunity to see if this would work before really sinking anything more into it.
Are you going to keep the money? Or are you going to remove the flexpay and return the unfulfilled goal money?
I think it would really show what kind of a person you are.

Jim has a year of being pissed on for free thanks to his remaining fucking suckers.
I am flabbergasted he got as much as he did,

It was all from Dr Steve.

He should take the money he has and find new animators then put some effort into writing and producing it and make an actual pilot. Then he can go back to cyber begging and it may actually work.

i'd like jim to make something good, but we can't skim past the fact that Chip is best used against real unsuspecting people. If you could make a cartoon as accurate as the real interactions he's had, then great.

It's fucked uo he didn't address asking for $200,000 when the animation company said it doesn't cost anywhere near that
2 Tell_Em_Fred 2016-03-11
He put 40 grand of his own money in the project. 200K was the goal. If he reached that goal he would be able to up the animation or create more cartoons with the same animation. He has another project in the works as well with IFC. Haters!

stinkskc contacted his animation team and they said Jimmy's cartoon wouldn't cost anywhere near 200k to make.

so he made that shit for free then basically? they call him the no risk kid
-1 [deleted] 2016-03-11
And if he didn't reach that goal he keeps all the money even over his 40k investment
That's called stealing from your fans. They donated for (who knows why) this cartoon to be made, not for him to take an opener to a fancy dinner
If he hadn't made this flexible funding, everything would be waaaaaaay more legit

It's all going into the cartoon sir. The people that were guiding him in this gave a goal of 200K so he will be able to send the merch promised to those who donated as well as being able to get the amount of cartoons he wanted.
1 pwoody11 2016-03-11
The Merch? Wasn't it pretty much shout outs, and retweets? That costs him nothing.
-1 [deleted] 2016-03-11
All going to the cartoon? The people MAKING the cartoon even said it wouldn't cost anywhere NEAR 200k for them to make the amount of work Jimmy said he wanted out of the campaign
Who are the people who were guiding him in this? And nothing you've said explains why flexible funding was OK
2 lordxenu44 2016-03-11
He hired a company to run the campaign for him. While I don't agree with that decision, the company advised him to account for the money to fulfill the perks in the campaign amount. I imagine he is also planning to pay that company from the campaign funds. He'll produce whatever mediocre cartoon he can with the money and obviously has no intention of ripping off his fans. But you already knew all of this, so I guess my post is pointless.

No way! The company that's probably paid a percentage of raised funds suggested he raise his target?
2 FatMustacheCunt 2016-03-11
While I do think there is some validity to crowd funding if done properly, that whole "flexplay" thing should raise a MGS-exclamation point over your head as a bit fishy.
2 McGowan9 2016-03-11
He should keep the money and buy a chin.

He already said that it if didn't meet the goal he would just do less episodes.
1 OqieRadioze 2016-03-11
Based on his current funding ratio he can afford about one and a half episodes. Since he's already made one (two?) he could call it a day and make none more.
2 mad-lab 2016-03-11
The ones he already made were paid for with his own money. The money he gets from the campaign go to new episodes. "Calling it quits" doesn't produce new episodes, which is what he said he was going to do. He could be lying, of course; I'm just explaining what he said.
-1 blue_magoo_62 2016-03-11
so he doesnt make a loss and we paid for that shite? awesome. the rich stay rich. fucking no chin worm douche.
1 mad-lab 2016-03-11
What do you mean he doesn't make a loss? He still paid for the earlier episodes... the new money pays for new episodes.
1 blue_magoo_62 2016-03-11
oh I thought he'd raised 10k over whats been spent and intends to call it a day and keep the remainder
