It's because you weren't subscribed to begin with

Same thing happened to me when I tried to cancel. It stopped charging me and I never lost access. That was over 6 months ago.

even though you unsubbed you may be still subscribed for the remainder of the time that you bought. if youre halfway through a cycle you still get access for the rest. but i wouldnt think thered be an option to unsub if that was the case
