Obviously Ant ruined many shows in the last year or two, and i had low hopes the show would get better after he got fired, but i underestimated what a zero opie is. At this point, he can't even elicit the old hate buzz i used to enjoy... All i feel is pity, and pity is boring as fuck.

I get where you're coming from and I do listen to OandJ but the new guests like sherrod and Vic are horrendous. The race and gun talk was obnoxious but it was infrequent for the most part and I would take that over the baseball card talk that occurred yesterday. Opie and Anthony was okay on its worst days and absolutely phenomenal on its best.

Its nowhere near O&A even in its last years but its ok sometimes. They should've definitely kept Sam around for the rest of this contract though instead of the abrupt (and short) Stangel thing. Much like how Jimmy was the buffer between Opie and Anthony, Sam can bounce off Jimmy and also maneuver between greggshells

I sometimes forget how Anthony used to have his Trayvon/race discussion for like an hour a day the last few years with Jimmy just occasionally piping in. One a week, fine, but they were the same thing every day and the stories were always so obscure.

I didn't listen just for Ant, I listened for the interaction between Jimmy and Ant and the usual guests. So, I guess I personally wasn't bored by him.

O&J is like O&A lite. It's way worse. Anthony's race rants did get old, but I think most of us can agree that the 3 of them together is better than any other combination.....even when they're sucking. Every piece of entertainment has an expiration date. I think O&A had pretty much ran it's course by the time ant got fired, but that doesn't mean the aftermath is better. Ant is doing a public access show, and O&J should be renamed: Dad Humor & Kirk Sinamon.

There are fewer stand out shows, but the shows are consistently OK.

If all you remember about O&A is that race rant period, I dont know why youre a fan. That being said, O&J is entirely bad. Opie and Jim are terrible. The guests are shit. The fat jews behind the scenes are awful. It is completely bad.

I was just listening to it. Its mildy entertaining. Its nice to have on in he background while you are doing other things. AT least it doesn't stress me out, anger me, or make me feel dirty like the old show.
